MATSUDA M3115 AG-DTO
MATSUDA M3115, color AG-DTO (Antique Gold - Dark Tortoise), size 55, are men's aviator sunglasses with gold titanium frame and double bridge. The bridge is decorated with an embossed design, such as the blindfolds and arms. The lenses are flat, in green colour (Cat. 3), with internal coating and 100% absorbent to UVA and UVB radiation.
They are handmade and manufactured in Japan.
The M3115 presents a bold interpretation of the classic aviation frame, inspired by the goggles originally worn by pilots in the early 1900s. The focal point of the work is a wide metal frame enclosing the lens, which is decorated with elaborate metal ornaments. The elegant simplicity of the design draws attention to the frame and is characterized by clean, straight lines. The decorated arm and badge add a distinctive touch.
Matsuda has always been committed to innovation and testing new ideas, a fundamental aspect of the brand's identity since its founding in Tokyo by Mitsuhiro Matsuda more than five decades ago. He was one of the pioneering designers who combined architectural elements with those of fashion, with his eyewear collections being the ones that caught the world's eye during the 1980s. Matsuda's reputation as a pioneer in fashion as art was cemented by his successful collaborations with such distinguished artists as Nan Goldin, Jan Saudek, Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber, which were highly praised and celebrated. Today, everything they do continues to build on this timeless tradition that remains their foundation.
